This week I worked on testing the cloth in unreal. I started by creating the flag and the poll in Maya. Then I exported it out as an FBX to unreal. I could then paint the sections of flag that I wanted to move and not be ridged. This is just a simplified version but it shows that cloth in unreal is possible and more importantly its possible for me to create. Clothing on a character should be fairly similar to this process.
